Courses and programs developed

Japanese Arts: Mingei and the Tea Ceremony: Travellearn program to Southern Japan, with workshops in Tea Ceremony, Yakimono,Shodo, Katazome/indigo, Bamboo and Fibers/textile.

Ceramics (levels) I, II, III and IV   Studio courses Introduction through to advanced techniques on the potter’s wheel, hand building techniques and ceramic sculpture.    Clay and Glaze formulation and kiln firing techniques.

Three Dimensional Design  Studio Course   Elements of design explored through shape, line, space and texture in various materials, wood, paper plaster and mixed media.

Two Dimensional Design  Studio Course   The study of the unifying theories of two  dimensional design as it appears on paper.

 Art History II Lecture Course Survey of Art 1450- 1800

Basic Drawing  Studio Course Fundamentals in theory and materials

 Visual Literacy   Lecture Course  The study of the visual image through art and communication exploring various visual media: Fine  art, architecture, photography, film and television.

Figure Sculpture  Studio Course   Fundamentals to sculpting the figure with plaster armature and clay 

Painting I   Studio Course  A foundations course in color theory in the use of oil and acrylic paint.
